ProOxy AG and wedotv, the free, ad- supported streaming network, today announced a strategic partnership to bring the innovative 3x3 ice hockey format Ultimate Hockey to fans around the world.
The partnership aims to redefine how ice hockey is experienced by modern audiences – faster, more dynamic and deeply rooted in urban and digital culture. Ultimate Hockey represents a new generation of the sport, designed for compact formats, continuous action and high-intensity play.
As part of the cooperation, wedotv will distribute Ultimate Hockey globally across its linear sports channels as well as its free streaming platform. This ensures broad accessibility for both traditional TV audiences and digital-first viewers, allowing fans to follow the action anytime, anywhere – completely free to watch.
The international rollout will take place under the umbrella of the Ultimate Hockey – Breaking the Ice Tour, which will kick off April 10–12, 2026, in Innsbruck, Austria. The tour brings Ultimate Hockey to iconic urban locations in the heart of some of the world’s most renowned cities, transforming public spaces into high-energy hockey venues.
Ultimate Hockey is a complementary, modern discipline of ice hockey. Played 3-on-3 on a smaller surface with two 12-minute periods of effective playing time, the game is defined by continuous action, quick decisions and maximum intensity. The format is designed to meet contemporary viewing habits while attracting new audiences to the sport.
Beyond fan engagement, the partnership also opens up new opportunities for brands and commercial partners. By leveraging wedotv’s global reach across free, ad-supported wedotv sports channels and wedotv.com platform, brands can connect with a young, modern and sports-enthusiastic audience through immersive and highly engaging sportainment formats.
